How the music on MIBL Radio is made

Last updated 2026-10-21

MIBL Radio uses AI tools to make music, and we say so openly. But every piece also has human work behind it. This page explains who does what, so you never have to guess.

What the human does

Mohsen Moussawi, the founder, directs every piece. He chooses the style, listens again and again, and picks the best version. For songs with lyrics, he edits the words himself after listening critically. He also gave his own voice to the AI, so many songs are sung in his voice.

What the AI does

AI tools generate the sound: the instruments and, in songs with words, the singing. How much of a song comes from the AI and how much from the human differs from song to song. Every song on MIBL's own channels is credited to Mohsen Moussawi.

The radio hosts

The presenters you hear between songs, Kian and Rozhan, are AI voices. They are not real people.

The website and the apps

The website, the streaming engine and the apps were also built with AI assistance, under human direction.

Music by other artists

Artists who send us their own music make their own declaration. If they used AI tools, they must say so, and they must keep proof that the tool's plan allowed commercial use. We decide what goes on air, and we can take any track off air if something is wrong. The details are in our Terms, in the section on music made with AI tools.

How every song is labelled

Every song on MIBL can carry one of four labels, chosen by the person who uploaded it, so listeners know how it was made. All four may play, as long as the uploader holds the rights (Terms 6.13).

  • Made by people: written, played and produced by people; no AI tool made the music or the words.
  • Made with AI help: made by people, with AI tools helping on parts of it, such as mixing, mastering, a sound or a first draft of the words.
  • AI, directed by a person: an AI tool generated the music, and a person set the direction, wrote or chose the words, and picked and edited the result.
  • Fully AI: generated by an AI tool with little or no human shaping.

MIBL’s own albums carry «AI, directed by a person».

Why we tell you

You have a right to know how the music you hear is made. The same wording appears as “Artistic Transparency” on our About page.
