Installing MIBL Track Studio, safely and simply

This app makes a complete video for each of your tracks, on your own computer. It does not carry a publisher’s digital signature yet, so Windows and some antivirus products warn you while it installs. This page says exactly why, what to click, and how to check that the file you have is really ours.

Version0.2.5
Size298 MB
SystemWindows 10 and 11, 64-bit

The file’s fingerprint (SHA-256) — if the file you downloaded shows this, it is exactly our file:

dc231f1304bbe1692d0e266c215b6a33801dd4c572aaad33ace0bc02ed9222ed

What you need

  • Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.
  • At least 8 GB of memory; 16 GB is better.
  • An NVIDIA graphics card is recommended so 4K videos are made quickly; it works without one, only slower.
  • About 3 GB of free space for the app, plus room for your videos (each 4K video is a few hundred MB).

1. Download and check the file

Only download the app from your own desk page on miblradio.com.au; the link is yours alone and lasts 48 hours.

  1. After downloading, open cmd from the Start menu.
  2. Type certutil -hashfile "%USERPROFILE%\Downloads\MIBL-Track-Studio-…-setup.exe" SHA256 (use the exact file name you downloaded) and press Enter.
  3. The number it prints must match the fingerprint at the top of this page. If it does not, do not install it — tell us.

This check proves the file was not tampered with on the way — the same job a digital signature does automatically.

2. Installing, and the Windows warning

For an app whose publisher it does not know, Windows shows a blue «Windows protected your PC» window. That warning is about the missing signature, not about a virus.

  1. Double-click the installer. If the blue window appears, click More info, then Run anyway.
  2. Installing does not need administrator rights; the app goes into C:\MIBL Track Studio.
  3. When it finishes, open the app from the desktop shortcut. Its page opens in a window.
  4. Copy your activation key from your desk page and paste it into the app’s «Licence» panel, in the «Paste your key here» box.

3. If your antivirus blocks it

Some antivirus products grow suspicious of an app without a “reputation” yet that downloads and processes video by itself. The right answer is to allow only the app’s folder. The exact names differ slightly between versions:

Microsoft Defender (Windows Security)

If it quarantined a file: Windows Security → Virus & threat protection → Protection history, open the item and choose Actions → Allow on device. To stop it happening again: Virus & threat protection settings → Manage settings → Exclusions → Add an exclusion → Folder, and pick C:\MIBL Track Studio.

Norton

In Norton go to Security → History, find the blocked item and choose Restore & exclude this file. For the whole folder: Settings → Antivirus → Scans and Risks → Items to Exclude from Scans and also Items to Exclude from Auto-Protect, and add C:\MIBL Track Studio.

Avast and AVG

Menu → Settings → General → Exceptions → Add exception, and add C:\MIBL Track Studio\*. If a file was quarantined, choose Restore and add exception in Quarantine.

Kaspersky

Settings → Security settings → Exclusions and actions on object detection → Manage exclusions → Add, and add the folder C:\MIBL Track Studio.

Bitdefender

Protection → Antivirus → Settings → Manage exceptions → Add an exception, and add the folder C:\MIBL Track Studio.

Never switch your antivirus off entirely — it is not needed and we will never ask you to. Allow this one folder, nothing more.

4. What the app does, and what it never does

  • It works only on your own computer: its page opens on the local address 127.0.0.1, which cannot be reached from the internet.
  • It carries its own tools — PHP, ffmpeg and a small browser that draws the title cards — which is why it is large.
  • It goes online only when you ask: to download free scenery and sounds from Pexels and Pixabay with your own free key, and to see whether a newer version is out.
  • It does not send your music or videos anywhere; a video reaches your desk only when you upload it yourself.
  • It keeps nothing running in the background; closing it closes everything.
  • It needs no administrator rights and does not touch Windows settings.
  • It never asks for passwords, bank cards or personal details.

5. Making videos for your desk

  1. In Track Studio pick your album or track and make the video with «My style», or by hand.
  2. When you export, choose YouTube 4K for a 4K desk or YouTube 1080p for a 1080p desk — those files are ready for a live stream as they are.
  3. On your desk page, under «Your videos on the desk», upload them. Each is checked for a few seconds and goes onto your desk.
  4. Under «Picture», choose «Your own videos» and start the broadcast.
