📜 Terms of Service

3.1 — Publishing Your Work

You can write and publish your own book in the MIBL Library. You keep full ownership of your work — we claim none of it. By publishing, you grant MIBL Radio a non-exclusive, royalty-free, revocable licence to host, store, display and serve that work to readers on this platform, and to show parts of it (such as the title, cover and description) to promote it on the site. That licence ends when you delete the book or your account. You warrant that you own what you publish or have the necessary permission, and the prohibited-content rules in clause 4.2 apply here too.

3.2–3.7 — Reader Support, Tips & Payouts — Not Offered

MIBL Radio does not offer reader support, tips, revenue sharing or payouts at the moment. Readers are not asked to pay for any member’s book, and every published book is free to read. No money is collected, held or paid out on behalf of authors, and no author or artist earns income through MIBL Radio: the legal obligations that come with handling other people’s money are ones we cannot take on today. Nothing in these Terms creates a right to income, a payout or a share of any payment. If we ever offer any of this, we will publish the full rules in this section and e-mail every member before it starts.

3.8 — Supporting the Platform Itself

You can support MIBL Radio itself (for example via the “Buy us a coffee” widget). These payments go 100% to the MIBL Radio platform. Such a payment is a voluntary gift, not the purchase of a good or service, and you receive no additional content in return. Like other payments it is non-refundable, subject to the same statutory rights in Section 12.

3.9 — AI Assistance & Ownership of Output

MIBL Radio provides AI-assisted tools for writing, cover creation and translation. The following rules apply to them:

• The output is yours. To the extent permitted by law we claim no ownership of the text, cover or translation you create with these tools; the licence in clause 3.1 to host and display it is all we need.
• So is responsibility for it. AI output can be inaccurate, biased, or unintentionally similar to someone else’s work. Read and check it before publishing; you are responsible for what you publish under your name.
• Copyright status is unsettled. In some jurisdictions — including Australia — a work generated entirely by a machine may not attract copyright at all. We make no warranty on this point.
• Third-party processing. Text or files you give these tools are sent to an external AI provider to produce the result (see Section 9). If part of your writing is confidential, do not put it through these tools.
• Cost. These tools rely on paid APIs and, per clause 2.2, are charged to every member including VIP — a paid VIP subscription receives the allowance described there, never free use. An estimated cost is shown before you run them. A paid subscription's monthly allowance is spent first; a gifted period pays from the first run.

3.10 — Content You Upload

You are solely responsible for any image or audio file you upload to an AI tool (for example a video generation first/last frame, vocal separation, mastering, or a Design Studio tool). By uploading, you confirm you own it or have the right to use it, and you agree not to upload content depicting a real, identifiable person without their consent, nor any illegal, abusive or exploitative content. These files are sent to the relevant third-party provider (see Section 9) only to run your requested job, and no permanent copy is kept on our own servers once the job completes. MIBL Radio is not responsible for how a third-party model interprets or renders your content.

6.1 — The Cloud Radio Service

MIBL Radio lets eligible members create and operate their own internet radio station on our platform (“Cloud Radio”). A station may begin on a free, on-demand trial (lower bitrate, time-limited) and be upgraded to a Premium “Always-On” 24/7 stream with higher bitrate and larger storage/listener quotas. You provision the station and upload your own audio; we host the streaming engine and a public station page. The available tiers, bitrates, quotas and trial length are shown in the Studio and may change in future.

6.2 — Your Content & Licensing Responsibility

You are solely responsible for everything you upload and broadcast on your station. By uploading or streaming any audio, you warrant that you own it or hold all rights and licences necessary to upload, store, publicly broadcast and communicate it — including any songwriting, publishing and sound-recording rights and any performing-rights/collecting-society licences required in your territory (in Australia, e.g. APRA AMCOS and PPCA; elsewhere the local equivalents). MIBL Radio provides the streaming platform only and does not grant or supply any music licence for the content you broadcast; obtaining and paying for those licences is your responsibility. MIBL Radio’s own catalogue (Section 5) is licensed to you for private listening only and may not be uploaded to, or rebroadcast from, your station.

6.3 — Wallet Funding & Premium

Premium “Always-On” tiers are funded directly from your AUD Wallet. The monthly cost of a tier is shown before you activate it. At each renewal the tier’s cost is deducted from your balance; if your balance is insufficient, the station is automatically downgraded to the free on-demand tier. The downgrade itself deletes nothing, but a station on the free tier is subject to clause 6.19. As with all wallet deductions, amounts consumed for a billing period that has already started are non-refundable.

6.4 — Availability & Backups

“Always-On” means we keep your stream running on a best-effort basis; it is not a guaranteed-uptime service and carries no SLA. We may pause, reclaim, restart or migrate streaming engines for maintenance, abuse, non-payment or capacity reasons. Consistent with Section 10, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or the permanent retention of your uploads — please keep your own master copies of any audio you upload.

6.5 — Broadcasting Conduct & Public Pages

Your station and its public page (for example /r/your-station) are visible to the public and represent you, not MIBL Radio. The same prohibited-content rules as the rest of the platform apply to anything you broadcast or display: no illegal, hateful, harassing, deceptive or sexually-exploitative content, and nothing that infringes the rights of others. We may, without prior notice, mute, suspend, downgrade or remove any station or page that breaches these terms or the law.

6.6 — Copyright Complaints & Takedown

If you believe a station is broadcasting your copyrighted work without authorisation, email [email protected] with the station, a description of the work, and a statement of your rights. We will review and, where appropriate, remove the content and/or suspend the station. Stations that repeatedly infringe will be terminated. To make a complaint quick to act on, please include your name and contact details, the work you own, where it plays on MIBL Radio, and a statement that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner and that what you say is accurate. We aim to act on a complete complaint within 2 business days, usually by taking the track off air while we look into it, and we will tell the person who submitted it so that they can respond. A complaint that is knowingly false can make its sender responsible for the harm it causes.

6.7 — Indemnity, Suspension & Termination

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless MIBL Radio / Mohsen Moussawi from any claim, demand, royalty, fine or cost arising out of the content you upload or broadcast, or your operation of a station. We may suspend or terminate any station at our discretion for breach of these terms, legal risk, abuse or non-payment. On downgrade, suspension, termination or account closure, your uploaded station content may be made unavailable or deleted; keep your own backups.

6.8 — Empty Stations

A station with no music in it broadcasts silence while still holding a broadcast address and a slot on our servers. If your station has no tracks at all, we will email you after 7 days, and if it is still empty after 14 days we will put its broadcast engine to sleep. Nothing is deleted — your station name, its address, your settings, your plan and every file you have uploaded stay exactly as they are. Uploading a single track wakes the station again, automatically, with nothing else to do and nobody to ask. This applies only to stations with an empty library: a station that has music is never affected by this rule, however few people are listening. This rule itself never deletes anything; separately, a free-plan station whose 30-day trial has ended may be deleted under clause 6.19.

6.9 — MIBL Founding Wave

MIBL Founding Wave is a programme for artists who make their own original music. You send us a recording of your own, we listen to it, and if it suits the station we broadcast it on the main MIBL Radio wave — the one every listener hears.

Nothing is bought or sold here. You pay us nothing to submit, we pay you nothing for the airplay, and no royalty or fee arises from broadcasting your work. You are not given a radio station, an account upgrade, or any other paid service in exchange. The trade is simply that we play your music and you keep everything else.

Submitting a track is not a guarantee that it will be broadcast — we listen to everything submitted and choose what suits the station. We may close the programme or stop accepting new submissions at any time; that does not affect tracks already on air, and it never affects your right to withdraw one.

6.10 — The Permission You Give Us

When you tick the airplay box on a specific track, you grant MIBL Radio a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence, revocable at any time, to do the following with that track and no more:

• broadcast and stream it on MIBL Radio stations, including through radio directories and apps that carry our stream to their own listeners (for example TuneIn), which may place their own advertising around the stream;
• if you leave the catalog box ticked when you offer the track, make it available for listening on demand in the MIBL Music Catalog and the NOVA player while it is on air — for listening only, never for download or sale. The box is your choice: you can untick it when you offer the track, or change it at any time afterwards, without taking the track off air;
• make the technical copies and format conversions needed to broadcast it (for example transcoding it for the stream);
• show its title, artist name, artwork and lyrics alongside it while it plays; and
• create and publish promotional material that features it — share cards, short video loops, lyric videos and social posts promoting the track, you, or the station.

This permission is given per track. Ticking the box on one track says nothing about any other track, and there is no blanket grant anywhere in this programme.

What this permission does not include. We may not sell downloads of your track on our own initiative, license it to anyone else, place it in advertising or other media, use it to train machine-learning models, or register it with any distributor, collecting society or content-identification system. If we ever want to do any of those things, we will ask you separately and you are free to say no.

If we produce translations or subtitles of your lyrics, we own those translations as works in their own right, and we grant you a free, permanent licence to use them however you wish, including after you leave the programme.

6.11 — What Stays Yours

You keep 100% ownership of your music, your recordings, your lyrics and your artwork. This programme transfers nothing to us and gives us no share of anything you earn — from MIBL or from anywhere else.

Because the licence is non-exclusive, you remain completely free to release, sell, stream and license the same track anywhere else, at the same time, without telling us and without asking us.

6.12 — Taking a Track Off Air

You can withdraw any track at any time, from the page where you submitted it — or from your station dashboard if you have one — without giving a reason.

We remove it from rotation as soon as the playlist next rebuilds — usually within a few hours, and in every case within 3 business days. From then on we also stop publishing new promotional material featuring it.

One honest limitation: promotional material we have already published elsewhere — a post on a social platform, for example — may continue to exist on that platform, and copies other people have already shared are outside our control. We will remove what we can reach.

Withdrawing costs you nothing and takes nothing away. We will never delete your uploads or your account because you withdrew a track, and you are free to submit again later.

6.13 — Original Work Only, and Collecting Societies

Only your own original work may be submitted for airplay. By ticking the airplay box you confirm that you wrote and recorded the track, or that you hold all the rights needed to give us the permission in 6.10, and that it does not contain anyone else’s recordings, samples or compositions that you have not cleared.

DJ mixes and edits containing other people’s recordings cannot be accepted in this programme, however they were made and however freely they are shared elsewhere. This is not a judgement about you — it is simply that you cannot give us a permission you do not hold, and we will not broadcast on the strength of one.

Collecting societies. When you join, we ask whether you are a member of APRA AMCOS or a similar performing-rights or collecting society, and you agree to answer accurately and to tell us if that changes. We ask because members of such societies have usually assigned some of their rights to that society, which can limit what you are able to grant us directly. Answering “yes” does not disqualify you. It remains your responsibility to comply with your own society’s rules, including any obligation to report where your music is played; we cannot do that for you and nothing here overrides your agreement with them.

Music made with AI tools. Music made with an AI music tool is welcome here. By ticking the airplay box you also confirm that the tool’s own terms, and the plan you had with it when you made the track, allow you to use the track commercially and to give us the permission in 6.10 — some free plans do not. Please keep proof (for example your plan receipt, or the tool’s page for that song) and show it to us if we ask.

If a track turns out not to meet these conditions, we will take it off air and let you know. Section 6.6 (Copyright Complaints & Takedown) and Section 6.7 (Indemnity, Suspension & Termination) continue to apply to everything submitted under this programme.

6.14 — Videos on Our YouTube Channel, and What They Pay

If we make a video of your album for the MIBL Radio YouTube channel, that video is covered by the promotional permission in 6.10 and needs nothing further from you — but we ask you to opt in per album anyway, and you can withdraw that at any time.

What you would be paid, and what you are paid today. Our channel is not in the YouTube Partner Programme, so it earns nothing from advertising and your share of that today is zero. We are telling you this before it changes rather than after. If the channel is ever accepted into that programme, you receive 50% of the net revenue YouTube attributes to any video that contains only your work, and we will tell you how it would be paid before it begins.

Why 50% and not more. We make the video — the render, the artwork, the captions, the upload quota, and an audience on that channel we built before you arrived. Half of what your own video earns is what we can promise and keep promising.

Videos containing more than one artist’s work are not covered by this share, because we have no honest way to divide it; we will not make one without asking you first. If you leave the programme or withdraw an album, we will take its video down on request — and any share already earned is still yours.

6.15 — Your Albums and Singles in the MIBL Music Catalog — Listening Only

As a station owner you can choose to list an album from your station in the MIBL Music Catalog. A listed album appears beside MIBL Radio’s own albums: anyone can play it on demand in the NOVA player and on its album page, find it in search, add its songs to their favourites and playlists, and share a link to it. Listing is optional, album by album, and off until you switch it on in My Station.

Which albums can be listed. Only an organised album: it has a name, a cover image, an artist name and at least two published songs with real titles (not file names), and none of its songs has been flagged by our copyright check. We may decline, pause or remove a listing that does not meet these standards or that breaks these Terms.

Listening only — never sold, never downloaded. MIBL Radio does not sell your music, does not offer it for download, does not charge listeners to hear it and does not place it in any paid download or tipping feature. Listeners can stream it; MIBL gives them no way to download it. No money changes hands in either direction because an album is listed.

The permission you give us. By switching a listing on you grant MIBL Radio a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence, for as long as the album stays listed, to store and stream that album on demand and to show its title, artist name, cover and song titles on MIBL Radio’s websites and apps — including the NOVA player, album pages, search, favourites, playlists and share links — and to make the technical copies and format conversions this needs. It is in addition to what you already allow for your station in 6.2, and it covers that album only, including songs you add to it while it stays listed. You keep full ownership of your music, and you remain free to release, sell and license it anywhere else.

What you confirm. You confirm that you own or control all the rights needed for on-demand streaming of every recording and every composition on that album — or have written permission from whoever does — and that listing it does not breach any agreement you have with a label, distributor, publisher or collecting society. Covers, DJ mixes and edits of other people’s recordings cannot be listed.

Switching it off. You can unlist an album at any time in My Station, without giving a reason. It leaves the Catalog at once (and in every case within 24 hours); songs that listeners saved to their favourites or playlists then show as unavailable. Removing the songs, deleting the station or closing your account unlists the album too.

Complaints. If someone tells us that a listed album infringes their rights, we may hide it straight away while we look into it and ask you for proof of your rights. Sections 6.5, 6.6 and 6.7 apply to listed albums exactly as they apply to your station.

Singles. A song that is not part of an album can be listed on its own, as a single, if it has a real title, its own cover image and an artist name, and has not been flagged by our copyright check. Everything in this section applies to a listed single exactly as it applies to a listed album.

6.16 — Sponsor Messages and Support Links on Your Station

A station owner may air short sponsor messages on their own station and show a “Support this station” button that links to their own page on a payment or membership site. MIBL offers this only as a feature of the station; MIBL is not a party to any sponsorship or support arrangement.

• The money is never ours. MIBL does not sell advertising for your station, does not collect, hold or pass on any payment, and takes no fee or share. Any agreement, payment, invoice, refund and tax is solely between you and your sponsor or supporter.
• Your music. You may use this feature only if everything your station plays is your own original work or work you are fully licensed to broadcast with sponsorship, including any licence from a music-rights organisation that applies to you.
• Your messages. Every sponsor message must be lawful, truthful and clearly identified as sponsorship. Messages for gambling or betting, alcohol, tobacco, vaping or nicotine products, medicines or health claims, weapons, adult content, political or electoral advertising, and investment, cryptocurrency or lending offers are not allowed. You must not deal with any person or entity subject to sanctions, and you must follow the laws of your country and of your listeners.
• Your responsibility. You are solely responsible for your sponsor messages, links and arrangements, and you agree to cover MIBL for any claim, loss or cost arising from them.
• Our control. MIBL may remove any message or link, suspend the feature for any station, or withdraw it entirely, at any time and without notice. Listeners who use a support link deal directly with the station owner and the site that link opens; MIBL cannot refund or recover those payments.

6.17 Numbers on the dial

Every station receives a free position on MIBL's dial, assigned automatically. A station may instead choose a position for one month or twelve months, paid from its MIBL wallet at the price shown before paying. A chosen number is the station's alone while it is paid and renews automatically from the wallet unless renewal is switched off; if a renewal cannot be paid, the number is held for 14 days and then is no longer reserved. The free number of a station on the free plan may be given to another station that chooses it; that station is moved at once to another free position and is told by e-mail. Numbers of stations on a paid plan, and chosen numbers, are never given to another station. Numbers cannot be sold or passed to another member. These are positions on MIBL's virtual dial: they are not radio-spectrum frequencies, they are not a broadcasting licence, and they give no rights outside MIBL. MIBL keeps some numbers for its own use and may withdraw a number used in breach of these Terms; if MIBL withdraws a number without a breach on your side, the unused paid days are refunded to your wallet. A station on the VIP Gold plan may also choose one number at no charge: it is chosen once, has no end date and does not renew, and is the station's alone for as long as the station is on VIP Gold. If the station leaves VIP Gold, the number is held for 14 days and then is no longer reserved.

6.18 Channels in MIBL Tanin

A station on the Silver plan or above may create channels in MIBL Tanin, up to the number its plan shows, and may link one channel to its own station. A channel is one-to-many: only its owner and the admins the owner appoints post in it; members who join read it, may mute it and may leave it at any time. Channel posts are not end-to-end encrypted: MIBL’s systems read them in order to translate each post into the reader’s language, and the posts of a public channel are shown on the channel’s public web page and can be read by anyone. Private chats and invite-only rooms stay end-to-end encrypted as described in 4.1. The owner of a channel is responsible for everything posted in it, must have the right to post it, and the rest of these Terms apply to every post. A channel’s @name must not imitate another person, station or brand, or MIBL itself; MIBL keeps some names for its own use. MIBL may remove a post, take back an @name or close a channel that breaks these Terms. If a station’s plan later falls below Silver, its existing channels keep working, but it cannot create new ones until it is on Silver or above again.

6.19 — Free-Plan Stations

A station on the free plan is on a 30-day trial, not a permanent plan. When the trial ends, the station stops broadcasting until it is upgraded to a paid tier. Every station holds a broadcast address and space on our servers, so once a free trial has ended we may delete the station — including the files uploaded to it — to make room for new stations. Before doing so we send a notice to the e-mail address on the account at least 14 days in advance, and the station's dashboard shows the date. To be sure of keeping a station, upgrade it to a paid tier, and keep your own master copies of everything you upload (see also clause 6.4). This clause does not apply to a station on a paid tier or on any plan that is not time-limited. Your songs are not deleted with the station: songs you listed in the MIBL library, or offered to or playing on MIBL Radio, stay available to listeners, listen-only, until you take them back. From your account you can take them out of the library, withdraw them from MIBL Radio, or delete them for good.

6.20 — Live Desk Scenery

The scenery clips that come with Live Desk — the picture behind your music — are not made by MIBL Radio. They come from free-licence stock libraries such as Pexels and Pixabay, and we use them under those libraries’ licences. The licences are non-exclusive: other people may use the same clips, and you acquire no ownership of, or exclusive right in, any clip. We look at every clip before it joins the library, but we cannot promise that no one will ever make a claim about a stream or video that contains one.

You may use a clip only as the picture behind your own music or videos on your own MIBL desk. You may not copy it out, resell or redistribute it, offer it on its own, present it as made by you or by MIBL, register it with a content-identification system (such as YouTube Content ID) or claim it against anyone else. If a claim is made against your stream or video because of a clip, tell us at once: we will help you answer it and, if you wish, take the clip off your desk. We may remove or replace any clip at any time. Your own music and videos stay yours; this section is only about the scenery clips.

6.21 — Supporter Notes and the Thank-You Wall

A station owner may show a thank-you wall on their station page and in the player: short notes from people who supported the station on the owner’s own support page (section 6.16). MIBL is not part of any of it. The money goes directly from the supporter to the station owner. MIBL does not see, receive, hold, check or refund any payment, takes no share, and a note is not a receipt.

• Supporters. A signed-in member may leave a note with a name, a short message and, if they wish, an amount, and chooses whether their name and the amount are shown. Nothing appears until the station owner confirms it. You can ask the station owner, or us, to remove your note at any time.
• Station owners. You may confirm only notes you believe to be true, may add a supporter yourself only if that person agrees to be shown, and must remove a note when its supporter asks. Any goal you show is your own statement. A thank-you is not a sale: if you promise supporters anything in return, that promise, and any tax on what you receive, is yours alone.
• What the wall is not. Amounts and goals are typed by supporters and station owners; MIBL does not verify them and makes no statement about them. Notes must not contain links, advertising, or anything unlawful or offensive.
• Our control. MIBL may hide any note, or a station’s whole wall, at any time and without notice. Inside the Android app the support link itself is not shown; the wall is.

6.22 — The Listeners' Chat on Station Pages

Every station page and the MIBL player have a chat with listeners. Anyone can read it; only signed-in members can write. Messages are public: they show the writer's member name and the song that was on air, and each reader sees them in their own language through automatic translation, paid by MIBL up to the monthly allowance of the station's plan.

The station owner moderates their own chat. They may delete any message in it and stop a member from writing there for 30 days. The conduct rules of MIBL Tanin (section 4) apply to every message, MIBL reviews reported messages, and MIBL may remove messages or accounts that break these Terms.

6.23 — Starter Music for Stations

A station owner may switch on starter music: instrumental tracks by Mohsen Moussawi, the artist behind MIBL Radio, which MIBL adds to the station’s rotation until the station has 30 songs of its own. It is optional, can be switched off at any time and does not change the empty-station rule in 6.8.

Switching it on gives the station owner a free, non-exclusive and revocable permission to broadcast these tracks on their own MIBL station only, while it is switched on. It is not permission to download, copy, sell, re-upload, edit or sample the tracks, to use them anywhere else, or to present them as the station’s own work; they stay credited to Mohsen Moussawi, who keeps all rights in them. If a station is restreamed to another platform, such as YouTube, that platform may place a copyright claim on these tracks, and MIBL cannot prevent it; switching starter music off before restreaming avoids it. MIBL may change the selection or stop offering starter music at any time, and the permission ends when the station ends.

6.24 — Connecting Your YouTube Channel to Live Desk

Connecting your YouTube channel to Live Desk is optional. If you connect it, you allow MIBL to create live broadcasts on your channel, link them to your stream and end them for your Live Desk, as described in our Privacy Policy — and nothing else.

You remain responsible for your channel and for following YouTube’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. MIBL does not change your channel settings, videos or comments.

YouTube may limit or refuse the API, for example because of its daily quota. Your desk then falls back to the simple method (about two minutes off air every 11 hours). We do not promise any particular number of saved videos or watch hours.

You can disconnect at any time on your Live Desk page; our access is revoked at once. By connecting, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service.
